When last we met....

I actually don't remember what we were talking about when last we met... It's just one of those little phrases that I find it fun to say.

I am one of several candidates for a full-time management position at the park... We'll see what happens. If I don't get it, I am planning on putting in one more season (well, cause I will need money to live on), but then trying my hand at teaching once again. I figure that perhaps I will have a different perspective on teaching now that I (A) am not fresh out of college, (B) have the knowledge and experience gained from additional training at MSU, and (C) there is no "C".

I really think that either way it goes, it's a win-win situation for me. Between Jacomo Chorale and Octarium, there are plenty of musical things going on in my life to keep that particular need satisfied. It would just be incredibly nice to have an income that both substantial and stable enough to get away from this "paycheck-to-paycheck" crap. However, there are people way worse off than I, so I needn't complain. I have a roof over my head, and I don't go hungry, at any rate.

The phrase that has been on my MSN Messenger window for the past several days has been "What's next?"...a phrase that, while it's intended intonation is blatantly stolen from Josiah Bartlet, is very relevent to both my and several of my friends' current station in life. Mid-twenties (ok, ok, late-twenties.), and wondering where the path leads from here. Even though I am very happy with the things I am doing right now (save for the minor "paycheck-to-paycheck thing mentioned above), it's always fun to try to peek into the future from time to time and wonder.

But back to what's at hand:
If you live anywhere in the vicinity of Jackson County, MO and you sing, you should be singing with the Jacomo Chorale, dangit. :-)
Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings from 7:15-9:30.
Click here to view the Jacomo Chorale website.

As well, as anyone in the same vicinity who just like to go hear good singing, should *definitely* buy season tickets to Octarium.

:-)

The work-week starts for me tomorrow (long day Friday, long day Saturday, Liturgies and rehearsal, then closing at WoF on Sunday).

May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sun shine warmly on your fields, until we meet again, my friends.
