Well, would you look at that....

I'm actually ahead of schedule for November. :-)

*pause*

*pause*

*increasingly awkward pause*

Yeah... and see, I was all set to rattle some randomly glib brain-spewage that comes from the inimitable mind of Seth, sure to be laced with fun words like "inimitable"... but so far that's not really what's coming out. I've told a few people on occasion (one "s" or two? Maybe TSP will be by shortly if I'm wrong.. Oh, shit, that's ME! never mind.) Anyway... told a few people on occassion that I think that a lot of what might be considered funny personality quirks or off-hand dry witicisms are really all borrowed from various sources and then melded into this weird homogenous blob of a personality that is strangely chameleonic (is that a word?) and somewhat enigmatic in nature. (OK, fine... I'd just like to *think* that I'm enigmatic. Fine.)

All of that is merely prefacing the fact that when it comes right down to it, I really don't know the answer to the first question the Universe asks. But then again, as has been said, that's kind of the point of the first question. There is no qualifiable, quantifiable, or easily referenced answer to that question... for *anybody*.

On another note... I really kind of like the Episcopal thing... and not simply for the "This is a new tradition that I've never been exposed to before" novelty of it, either. I've learned that liturgical worship (With kneeling, recited prayers, and even that "crossing yourself" thing) can be just as deep and heartfelt as the "Led by the Spirit, Clap for Jesus, Praise Band, Amen!" kind, which I had been most recently involved with prior to my current church. Both of which, I would have to add, I prefer to the "Let's use our own made-up scripture books, but we won't even really use them, we'll just make up the entire religion as we go" tradition that I grew up in. To those of you who know what I'm referencing and are still a part of that tradition... not meaning to offend any of you personally.

Not sure how I got onto religion there. Oh, well. Let's move away from that discussion, though, shall we?

(Yes, I'll bring it up just long enough to potentially insult somebody.. then I'll veer away. Deal.)

It's that time of year again when I get paid to stay up all night and watch movies... in my car... in the parking lot at Worlds of Fun. Man, I wish I could do this year-round. :-) What should I watch tonight? Maybe I'll stop by Blockbuster before I go in to "work".

I really can't tell if I've been doing better at playing cards or not.. or just getting lucky. Probably a little of both. I've had another "points" finish at Side Pockets, a "points" finish at an APL game at the Village Lounge, and won two home-games, from which I walked away with $50 and $40, respectively. I immensely enjoyed the free tank of gas that I got with that last win. (I was up $25 for the night, having bought in and re-bought for the first game, and just one buy-in for the second which I won.) Don't worry, kids.. that's the *only* "real money" playing I do... the occassional home-game tournament for $5, with option to re-buy once.

Oh, yeah...
Michael: I'll make you a deal. I *promise* to update my blog more regularly if you agree to watch the rest of the "Lord of the Rings" movies... should said opportunity arise. :-) You have to know that to some extent, I've put off posting this update just to be onery and stubborn. Much, I might add, like yourself. ;-) (ooooh... major burn... I owned you.)

I just rescued a paycheck from the washing machine.. it's currently hanging on the fridge to dry. Whoops. At least it's still in one piece....

All for now...

Pax vobiscum,
Seth
